EXCLUSIVE: Kids Kidnapped In Gombe Rescued In Anambra

Kidnapping is now like a household name in Nigeria and we have heard a lot of stories accompanied by it and the Police in Anambra State on Wednesday handed over two kids kidnapped in Gombe State but rescued in Anambra to their parents.

The two kids, Mustapha Abdulazeez and Musa Yusuf, both aged two, were on October 20, stolen by a child theft syndicate and brought to the popular Tanzan Junction area of Onitsha.

Speaking to newsmen during the parade of the suspected abductors, one of the parents of children, Abdulaziz Suleman was full of thanks to God for enabling them to see their children again after 20 days in the kidnappers’ den.

Suleman, a tailor, said the rescue was facilitated through the aid of social media.

He said, “Our children were playing in their compound when they were kidnapped.

“One of our neighbors alerted us after he saw the pictures of the boys on facebook where they were rescued in Anambra.

“As soon as we confirmed they were our children, we quickly rushed down to the state to reclaim our children. When the children saw us they jumped and ran to us.”

Police spokesperson Haurana Mohammed said the children were kidnapped in Gombe State and rescued in Anambra State through an intelligent network of security operatives in the state.

He said, “It would be recalled that on the 22/10/2019 at about 10:45 am, following intelligence report Police detectives attached to Anambra State Command arrested three female suspects at Nkpor market/Tarzan junction in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the children were stolen from Gombe by one Blessing Musa ‘f” on the 20/10/2019 and brought to her accomplices in Anambra State.

Following the public announcement by the Command on the 27/10/2019, parents of the two kids from Gombe State came to Awka and identified their children.

“They also revealed their names as Walid Yusuf aged 3 years and Mustapha Abdulaziz aged 2 years respectively.

He said the children have since reunited with their parents and suspects handed over to Gombe State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

One of the suspects, Blessing John said she was on a bus with a lady whom she claimed told her she needed financial assistance to train her two children.

She said when she got to Onitsha she approached patience Opia to help her find somebody who would assist to train the children in school.

Shocking: See What Rape Suspect Confessed To Police

One Joseph Sunday of Obot Ideng, in Ibesikpo local government area of Akwa Ibom state, has landed himself in police net for allegedly raping his two daughters aged nine and thirteen years.

The suspect, it was gathered had been having a threesome with his daughters for over three years after he divorced the mother of the girls who has relocated to Rivers State.

Investigations revealed that Mr. Sunday believed to be in his late 40s, always had canal knowledge of his two daughters at the same time in his home in Ibesikpo.

It was also revealed that the suspect had threatened his daughters with an idol (mbiam) if they make attempts to divulge the incidence to anyone.

But the illicit affair was blown open when he caught his thirteen-year-old daughter with another man who identified himself as the daughter’s boyfriend and he moved to caution his daughter.

Infuriated by the daughter’s action, he beat up the girl who later decided to expose her father’s immoral act.

Meanwhile, the nine-year-old who is also a victim confessed that she was already in love with her father and had enjoyed the act.

However, the suspect has confessed to the crime and said he wanted to test if his penis was still functioning well.

“My wife left me some years ago because of some family issues and relocated to Rivers State. I have been the only one taking care of my daughters. I just want to test if my manhood is still functional using my daughters,” he said.

The Police Spokesperson in the state, SP Odiko MacDon told our correspondent that the case would be charged to court.

The PPRO who ascribed the case to the level of moral decadence in the society called for attitudinal reorientation and urged people to report perpetrators of such dastardly acts to the police.

“Moral Bankruptcy is what is causing all these acts. As a people, we need to take morality in society very seriously.

“For us in Akwa Ibom State, we take a fight against rape, defilement and Gender base violence serious. Some of the suspects are in our custody, some charged to court, some under investigation while some have been convicted by the court,” Odiko said.

Father Arrested For Attempting To Sell His 3-Year-Old Son After Selling Daughter In Owerri

Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a 42-year-old man for attempting to sell his three-year-old son for N5 million.

The suspect identified as Ayuba John was paraded before journalists by the Commandant of NSCDC in the state, Mahmud Fari who revealed that Ayuba hails from Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa state and he has been arrested in the past for selling his daughter to someone in Owerri.

This is not the first time he (suspect) would sell his children and he sells his children for ritual purposes. “I was moved to tears when I learnt that a biological father took his son to the market to sell him at the sum of N5million. When he was asked why he wants to sell his son, he said he wants to increase his financial status, he added.

Ayuba revealed that he is married to four wives and has 23 children and confessed during the investigation that he resorted to selling off his children because he needed money to settle some personal issues.

Man Jailed 20 Years For Raping 12-year-old

An Ikeja Special Offences Court, on Friday, sentenced a 38-year-old barber, Jobi Kayode, to 20 years in prison for raping his 12-year-old neighbour (name withheld).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo sentenced Mr Kayode after finding him guilty of a charge of defilement due to the strength of the complainant’s testimony and the medical evidence.

“The prosecution has proved its case beyond reasonable doubt and I hereby convict him on the offence of defilement, as charged.

“The instances of rape have become prevalent in our society and it is almost becoming an epidemic. The defilement of a 12-year-old neighbour, who trusted him as her neighbour, is heinous.

“The defendant is hereby sentenced to 20 years in prison, to be served at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, with no option of fine. The sentence starts from today, November 8, 2019,” the judge said.

NAN reports that five witnesses (the complainant, her parents, a medical doctor and a police officer) testified for the prosecution during the trial, while Mr Kayode testified solely in his defence.

The complainant (name withheld), who was a Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) student, while testifying during the trial, had said that the convict had the habit of making lewd advances at her and showing her his manhood whenever she was heading home from school.

While being led in evidence by Mr F. O. Ligali, the lead prosecuting counsel, she said “I usually close from school at 4 pm. from Mondays to Thursdays and 2 pm. on Fridays.

“Whenever I’m coming back from school, he (defendant) usually makes advances at me and sometimes brings out his penis and shakes it at me,” she said.

The student said that one day when she was opening the gate to the compound of her home, the defendant approached her and told her he wanted to see her neighbour in the compound.

She said that immediately he got into the compound, he overpowered her and raped her.

“He threatened me that if I should tell anyone about what he did to me, he would kill me,” she said.

The complainant said she did not tell anyone about the incident and that three days later, he approached her again while she was opening the gate of her compound, telling her, again, that he wanted to see her neighbour.

“He promised not to rape her and when he got into the compound, he rushed at me faster than the first time and raped me. He again threatened to kill me if I should tell anyone,” she said.

The complainant said that she did not tell her parents about the incident but that she revealed the incident after a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) who came to give sex education in her school.

She said she confided in a member of the NGO team about the defilement, who later informed her teacher who, in turn, told her to inform her parents but that she declined to tell her parents out of fear.

According to her, her mother was informed about the rape by her teacher during a PTA meeting, while the mother informed her father who, in turn, reported to the authorities.

Mr Kayode, in his defence, denied raping his neighbour.

“I had, at no time, visited the complainant’s compound. Their gate was always locked with a padlock,” he said.

Before the sentence was passed, Saheed Sanusi, the defence counsel, in his allocutus (plea for mercy), had asked the court to temper justice with mercy.

“We plead for leniency; the defendant is a first time offender; he has a family to look after. His family will suffer as a result.

“We plead the court for leniency so that he will continue to support his family. He has learnt his lesson; such an incident will not happen again,” Sanusi pleaded.

According to the prosecution, the convict committed the offence on June 21, 2015, at the Shangisha area of Lagos.

“The offence contravenes Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2011,” Ligali said.

Police Arrest 24 year old Mohammed Ali who disguised in hijab to steal used female p@nties

A 24-year-old tailor distinguished as Mohammed Ali has been captured by the Niger State Police Command for supposedly taking female jeans in State Low Cost, Lapai town, Lapai Local Government Area of the state.

Two understudies of Izom Science Secondary School arranged in Gurara Local Government Area of the state were additionally captured for taking female jeans.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Muhammad D-Inna Abubakar uncovered that the suspects were captured following grievances by exploited people.

“Acting on the complaints, our operatives of Kaffin-Koro Division arrested one Abubakar Sadiq aged 18 and Ephraim Isaiah, 19, both students of Izom Science Secondary, Gurara LGA in connection with stealing pants,” he said.

While confessing to the crime, the suspect told reporters that he had stolen three p@nts at different locations in the area and met his waterloo as he was on the verge of stealing another pant when a lady raised an alarm after she gained access through a broken window.

The 24-year-old tailor also mentioned one Malam Madaji Yabajeko of Agaie Local Government Area, who is at large, as the receiver of the p@nts.

The police spokesperson said the command became concerned because of the rising cases of the offence, adding that investigation showed that the culprits have clients waiting to buy the stolen pants.

The command also arrested three suspected armed robbers who allegedly dressed in hijab to attack unsuspecting victims.

Shocking: Man Kills Brother Over Affair With The Wife

Iliasu reportedly confessed to killing his brother, Isah Abubakar, in Gwanara, Baruten Local Government area of the state.

The defendant reportedly carried out the act, claiming that Isah Abubakar was having an affair with his wife. He was taken before Magistrate Jumoke Bamigboye for culpable homicide contrary to Sections 221 of penal code law.

The First Information Report (FIR) said that one Abubakar Umaru of Budo-Aiki, Fulani camp, via Gwanara, reported the matter at the community police post, before it was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Ilorin, for discreet investigation.

According to the FIR, Umaru, who is the father of the two, had gone to the camp of his sons, Isah and Illiasu Abubakar, but found no one around except their cattle.

FIR revealed that Umaru found Isah’s body. Isah’s neck reportedly bore machete marks. His brother was nowhere to be found. Investigation revealed that Iliasu may have killed his brother and fled to Oyo State.

After he was arrested, the defendant confessed to the police to have cut his brother in the neck because he was having an affair with his wife.

The police report noted that the deceased had once claimed to be the three-year-old baby his brother’s wife is nursing. The defendant, after confessing to the crime, said he had warned the deceased severally to desist from the act but failed to listen, and as such, attacked him, FIR said.

The prosecutor, Inspector Sanni Abdullah, prayed the court to remand the defendant in prison custody saying the offences against him is not admissible for bail. He submitted further that the offences cannot be tried at the magistracy hence the need to remand Iliasu till the matter is transferred to the appropriate court for hearing.

The prosecutor added that the defendant may commit a similar offence if admitted to bail, saying he should rather be kept in the correctional centre pending the determination of the case.

The case continues on November 26.

15-Year-Old Boy Sodomizes 6-Year-Old Boy In Kaduna

A six-year-old boy is currently receiving medical attention at the Sexual Assault Centre of Gambo Sawaba Hospital, Zaria, the Kaduna state capital, after he was sodomised repeatedly by a 15 year old boy.

The boy was taken to the center by his father who said his son's teachers alerted him about the development.

''They said the boy always returned to class late from break and when asked where he had been, he would reply that he went to meet the abuser. When they continued to question him, he told them that the abuser had asked him to remove his trousers and then had sex with him,” he said.

Confirming the incident to newsmen, the manager of the Sexual Assault Center, Amina Umar-Faruq, said medical examination revealed the six year old boy's anus had been penetrated.

“After our investigation, we found out that the boy’s anus had been penetrated. He is currently undergoing medical treatment and rehabilitation. The perpetrator was also brought to us by the Police and he confessed to have been sexually abused too by someone whom he couldn’t name; he is also currently receiving treatment,” she told NAN

Umar-Faruq added that the matter was under investigation by the Police.

Fake Lawyer Arrested For Duping Single Moms With Marriage Promises

Edo State police command on Friday paraded a 42-year old man, Uchenna Duru, posing as a lawyer to defraud one Abdulahi Ruth of Airforce School of an undisclosed amount of money and her Toyota car.

The suspect specialized in duping single mothers after promising to marry them. Uchenna was said to have promised to marry a lady in #Owerri, #ImoState, but never turned up on the wedding day despite preparation by the lady in question. .

He was arrested on October 29 by the police who were on his trail since December 2018 after Mrs. Ruth reported that he defrauded her too.

Police investigation showed that Uchenna had promised to marry a friend of Ruth, one Madam Adams Dora, whom he met on the social media. .

It was learnt that wedding introduction was conducted and Uchenna collected N1m from Dora under the pretence of buying her a car worth N2.5m ahead of the wedding in December 2018. Dora told newsmen she never saw Uchenna again. .

She said Uchenna told her he was a divorcee with two children. After the arrest of Uchenna, another lady, Faith Eriamiatoe, turned up and alleged that Uhenna also promised to marry her.

Faith said Uchenna defrauded her the sum of N73,000 on the pretence to supply her auction goods from the Nigeria Custom Service. She said she met Uchenna in October and he promised to marry her by December but she insisted it was too early. .

IMN: US, Israel, Saudi Arabia behind Nigeria’s deadly crackdown on Zakzaky's supporters

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) tells Press TV that the US, Israel and Saudi Arabia have been behind the Abuja government’s bloody crackdown on supporters of senior Muslim figure Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, who has been jailed for over four years.

Mohammad Hassan Shojaeifard, representative of Sheikh Zakzaky in Iran, said in an interview with Press TV that the IMN under the leadership of Sheikh Zakhzaky has had “peaceful” relations with the government over the past three decades.

He said “the situation was absolutely cultural and peaceful,” but after the start of large pro-Palestinian demonstrations in the African country in 2014, “Israel, Saudi Arabia and, on top of them, the American government tried to stop the activities.”

He described the Nigerian government forces as the “puppets” of the trio, which has been pushing the military forces to carry out the deadly crackdown against Sheikh Zakzaki’s supporters.

He said that the Nigerian forces started the brutal assault against Sheikh Zakzaki supporters ever since they publicly condemned Israel for its atrocities against the Palestinian people during a demonstration marking International Quds Day.

The International Quds Day is a legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, who designated the day in solidarity with Palestinians. Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the International Quds Day has been held worldwide on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

Zakzaky has been in detention since December 2015 after his residence in the city of Zaria was raided by Nigeria’s forces, during which he was beaten and lost vision in his left eye.

During the brutal crackdown, three of his sons lost their lives, his wife sustained serious wounds, and some 350 of his followers were killed.

Since then, the government has been violently cracking down on the IMN and its members.

The Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC), based in London, said last month that the cleric’s health condition had further deteriorated, since he was reportedly poisoned in prison.

The cleric’s son, Mohammad, told Press TV on July 6 that his father was in dire need of medical treatment, as “large and dangerous quantities of lead and cadmium have been found in his blood.” He said that the authorities intended to murder his father since they refuse to take any measures.

Recently, a Nigerian court granted the government permission to label the IMN as a “terrorist” group, a move that many believe would give the officials the opportunity to clamp down harder on it.

IMN members regularly take to the streets of the Nigerian capital to call for the release of Zakzaky.

Elsewhere in his Monday interview with Press TV, Shojaeifard said that the court was “unlawful” since Sheikh Zakzaki, his wife and the IMN had committed no crime.

He said that the court “is under the control of Saudis, Israelis and the United States.”

Man Rapes A Corper In Ogun, Strangles Her To Death.

The Ogun state police command has arrested 29-year-old driving instructor, Festus Udo, pictured above, for raping and strangling a female youth corps member, 23 year old Modupe Taiyese, at Abule Ayo in Mawuko, Odeda local government area of the state.

Parading the suspect before newsmen at the scene of the incident yesterday, the state commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu, said the suspect was a driving instructor‎ with Lizzy Driving School, Abeokuta, where the victim registered to learn driving.

Udo had lured Modupe into the bushes with the promise of getting her a driving permit while teaching her how to drive. 

Trouble started when Modupe did not return to the lodge where herself and other corps members reside. A case of a missing p[erson was filed by the coordinator of the NYSC in the state, John Okon.

'We went for a powerful, technical screening of fact left behind by the last person she made contact with, who is the suspect. Technically the information led to one person by name Festus Udoh, an indigene of Oromi from Edo state, who was teaching this innocent deceased corper, Taiyese Modupe, how to drive. We were able to uncover this nefarious act and he led us to this place and confessed. The man tactically and deceitfully convinced her on Saturday evening that her driving permit is ready. She decided to answer to his call and he cleverly and deceitfully apprehended this lady and brought her down to this forest where he had a forceful, illegal and unlawful carnal knowledge of her and thereafter strangled her to death. The passport photographs of the suspect were found at the scene of the incident which is a remarkable scene of crime evidence,” he said.
Speaking to newsmen, the suspect said 

“After I took her to this place, I told her that I wanted to have sex with her, she said no, but I dragged her into the bush and had sex with her. After having sex with her, she said she will tell her family, that was when I tore her cloth and used it to strangle her neck, as she was gasping, I now ran away,” he said
He will be charged to court soon.
